This is an absolute stunner, I love wenge wood so much!!! 1991 Warwick Thumb Bass NT 5 string fretless bass with LED neck. This is from the GOLDEN Era a Warwick.
I bought this on TB last month for $4300 with the best intentions to learn how to play a fretless fiver. I had my tech at Radius Bass & Guitar do a full setup in G#, put a new set of Ernie Ball Flatwounds 45-130 strings on, replaced the stock MEC preamp with a new Bartolini NTBTG-918 (stock MEC will be included) and full orange wax treatment. I also reached out to Hans Peter at Warwick to get a history on the bass and he was blown away by the condition it was still in for being 32 years old. Full specs from Hans in the screen shot attached.
With all that being said, I am not a fretless player. I am throwing in the towel on this dream bass and passing it along to someone more worthy than I am. If I had the expendable income, this would be the ultimate wall candy, but I am not that guy.
The custom built road case is a monster. In the road case, it is way too heavy to offer shipping unless you want to be responsible for those costs, but I am willing to drive an hour or two from San Diego to meet the right person. I might even consider jumping on a plane for an adventure to a part of the US I haven't been to before.

$4500 SHIPPED CONUS
$4000 cash and in person

Will consider a partial trade for the following 4 string basses: Spector Dimension in matte moss, Dunable 35" scale, Ernie Ball Timmy C Stingray and maybe a 35" scale Spector Euro with a matte neck. I could be open to other 35" scale 4 string basses as long as I have $2k coming my way. Cheers!

i’d say they average between 9.5 and 12 lbs
i don’t know why people complain about weight if it was twenty lbs or better i’d say you’d have a point but even 11 lbs for a set isn’t bad 45 minutes or so It’s not like you’re Rob true Jell-O in Metallica running around
