Hello! I’ve got a beautiful Seldon Alchemist 632. I hesitate to even post about it, but I would like a bit of a longer scale and one less string, so here we are. It Serial #003, built March 2022. I am the second owner. Great condition. There is a bit of rash on the bottom side of the body and a mark on the fretboard near the 12th fret. Just updated with Zen Blades from the Big Blades. Here are the specs:

Body: Mahogany
Top/Headstock: Koa, black accent veneer
Neck: Roasted Maple/Wenge/Curly Maple, set in body
Fretboard: Rosewood
Nut: Bone
Strings: 6, strung through body
Spacing: 16.5 mm
Pickups: Nordstrand Zen Blades
Preamp: Nordstrand 3B, 9V, Volume/Passive Tone Stack, Blend, Push/Pull Mid, Bass/Treble Stack
Scale: 32”
Frets: 22 frets
Hardware: Black Hipshot Ultralite Tuners, Type A bridge
Weight: 8.4#
Case: Yorkville Teardrop Hardcase included

This is the same bass on his site and IG: alchemist-632

For sale and will entertain a trade. Looking for a nice fretless or a 34” 5 string that strikes my fancy.

Buyer pays $150 Shipping. CONUS only.

i am not familiar with this builder, but that looks like a very nice instrument. the neck set looks perfect. nice woods (obviously) and great choice of electronics.

good luck with the sale!

How does the 16.5 mm spacing feel ? I am considering this for a new 632 by a different builder.
Thanks

It probably depends on your style, but I play lots of chords, especially on the higher strings. It is a dream for that. Very fast/easy access for runs up/down the strings. It took me some getting used to, but now I prefer it.
