Early model King bass (later King Moretone), unlabelled, by HN White Co. of Cleveland, Ohio.
Sensational sounding instrument has replacement ebony tailpiece, new bridge with height adjusters, carbon fibre endpin, and good quality tuners. Fingerboard is either Brazilian rosewood or Macassar ebony - not sure.
Repairs to scroll box and button.
Has a single piece lower side bout so there is no centre seam at the endpin. Bass is unlabelled however there is a serial # 216 suggesting build date of January 1935. I'd guess this was made for a trade show looking for private label distributors.
Selling for $2500 Cdn ($2000 USD). Thanks.
