Is the neck glued to the fingerboard, or do they separate (like below pic) when neck is removed?

When it's apart for packing in travel case, there's a separate small padded case for neck/fingerboard/strings that's 6" x 6" x 42" long. Main body is about 36" long with ending collapsed. It packs into gigbag shown in photos. Both pieces when packed fir neatly into hard sided travel case for airline checking.

Thank you for all the follow up and dimensions, it’s a really nice looking bass. I’m currently looking for an electric upright bass for traveling so I’m thinking about it.
