Bogart Bass. Hand made in Germany. I bought this about a year ago out of curiosity about Bogart basses.
I am totally blown away! The bartolini’s and NOLL TCM3 pre amp are a fantastic combination. This bass has that “perfect” bass sound. Bass is very light and ergonomic.
I love this so much, I ordered one exactly like it….but with a dark wood veneer top (I I am a jazz musician so the wood looks much better in the musical environments I am involved it).
The bass was purchased in 2021 in Germany (where it was made). It only had one MM pickup. It was sent back to the builder (Stefan Hess) and a neck "J" pickup was added. A complete inspection and set up was also performed by Stefan at that time. Everything is in perfect condition. Frets have plenty of life left in them and pots are perfectly clean and noise-free. Bass sounds perfect!
It has a carbon fiber neck with a matte finish and a rosewood fingerboard.
Only reason I am selling this is because the other Bogart bass I ordered will fit me better.
If this does not sell, I will gladly keep it!
Bass comes with a mint condition Levy's black cordura gig bag.
34 inch scale and the bass weighs 8 pounds!
18mm string spacing at the bridge.
NOLL TCM3 pre-amp with 3 band EQ and active/passive switch (push/pull).
$1550 for a local Los Angeles area sale. Can meet anywhere in the San Fernado Valley area.

I don't know cecoulter5, but I'm gonna hype this thread up because I love Bogart basses so much! These are Incredible basses. I love graphite necks and I've owned several Modulus, Status, and Moses basses, and I've played Zons. I always come back to Bogarts. I'm on my 4th!

1. Bogart's built quality and precision is the same as Modulus and Status if not better.
2. I think Bogarts sound Much better and are more versatile in tone than Modulus and Status. They can do crisp punchy slap, warm thumpy, and aggressive growly tones. I felt like Modulus, Status, and Zon each had A great tone, but were limited to just that 'sound'.
3. Bogart graphite necks are a thing of beauty. They are thinner yet more stable than Modulus and Status. All the Bogarts I had have very thin comfortable necks. Playing a Bogart is was what I'd imagine it's like for a guitar player to go from a Les Paul neck to an Ibanez Wizard neck!
4. Bogarts are more innovative, utilizing things like zero fret and their Blackstone synthetic bodies.
5. For some crazy reason, they're significantly less expensive than Modulus, Status, and Zon! This one is no exception... that's bordering on a steal for a German-made high-end graphite neck bass!

If this wasn't identical to my current black Bogart, this would've been the quickest sale in the history of TB and it would be mine!

Here are the specifications directly from the Bogart website. This one has the “slimfast” neck.
Neck width at zero fret is 49mm and at the 24th fret is 75mm.

Nice bass! You might want to post the actual string spacing at the bridge in mm. I (and I suspect many others) have no clue what "slim fast" neck means with respect to bridge spacing.

How is this still here? Where else can you find a bass that's equivalent or even better than a Modulus or Status, but at half their price???
