Details

(UPDATE: I can't believe I forgot to include the Cadet 12's coolest feature in my first write-up. It sports dual humbucker outputs, one active and one passive, offering a dual signal stereo output. That means the bass can be played through two amps simultaneously!)

This is a very rare, limited edition Musicvox Cadet 12 Bass with a 4x3 string setup. The bass was constructed in 2001, and is 1 of only 10 produced in the seafoam green color with the “12 Stencil”. (Only 9 actually ever made it into the hands of players because one was accidentally destroyed during shipping.) This model sold for $2000 in 2001!

This Musicvox Cadet 12 has been in climate-controlled storage the last eight years and is in great cosmetic condition, with plastic still on the battery cover. No buckle rash. Little or no fret wear. Plays great and sounds amazing.

The bass comes in a brand new Gator hardshell case.

Specifications:

Dual signal stereo outputs
• Neck Through Body Construction
• Long Scale 34" Maple Neck
• Rosewood Fingerboard with Black Pearl Inlays
• Dual Truss Rods
• LockingTuners, Custom cast tail and bridge
• Active and Passive Electronics
• Brass nut
• Durable urethane finish

LOL! I did, too. I know it's stupid, but the "12" stencil on the lower bout just put it over the top for me. It does take a particular player to handle the wider neck and the 12 strings. Unfortunately, I'm not that guy.
I have a Hamer Chaparral 12. Used it a lot in that old band, not so much anymore. But I wish I was in a band where it would work. Maybe someday

I remember these. Pretty damn cool. I’m sure it has a unique sound.

What’s the weight and how is the balance on a strap please?

Thanks!

Thanks. Did a little reading up on him. It sounds like they weigh about 11 pounds.
