I am considering both the Interbass and the SCR-DI.

Based on your experience, what does the SCR-DI have that the Interbass does not?

The Interbass is meant to drive a speaker cabinet. I suppose you could use it as just another pedal, but would be way overkill. The SCR-DI would be better for a pedal board, more EQ options with the Ultra HI/LO and you get a drive circuit and AUX input for backing tracks.

I respectfully disagree with the post above. The Interbass is a fantastic sounding piece of kit. Both its' full range and vintage cab sims sound excellent, its' parallel FX return works as an aux in (that you can hear through a speaker not just headphones if desired), it provides a 1/4" DI (you can easily get a 1/4" to XLR converter cable), its' eq is better and more powerful than the SCR-DI AND it can function as a 45 watt integrated amp or preamp. It's so versatile I have 2. I use 1 to power a complete board (see pic)-I can use only the pedal to power the board (no "amp" for practice or small jams) or send it to a bigger power amp if desired.....and I keep a second one in my bag for when I don't take this board with me....as an emergency amp. Also, since its' power section is only 35 watts at 8 Ohms, it will easily run off even a small lithium battery pack for several hours if desired. It's faaaaaar more useful/ versatile than just any DI. Too bad I don't need a 3rd ;)

Good points, seems I underestimated the Interbass.
