UPDATE: When a well-regarded piece of gear that's not overpriced sits on the TB classifieds for a month, it is clearly not time to sell. Times are tight; a 30-W head is a luxury. I get it.

In a week, this dirty Little Bastard will happily return to its hidey-hole.

If you are looking for genuine tube OD, grunt 'n grind, this little fella was specifically built to deliver a range of tasty tones all at a volume that won't attract the law. Just 30 wonderful watts at 8 or 4 ohms, the Little Bastard is a primo choice for recording, small gigs or home use.

The LB weighs about 30lbs, and is pretty easy to handle for an all-tube unit. Volume wise, give it ample speakers and it’ll probably do fine for smaller gigs with a non-metal/punk band, tho I never had it in a live situation personally —- it excels at studio situations and other situations where tonal quality vs. sheer volume is the aim. This head is amazing through a 112 cab, i have one use it through a gk neo 112 and a bare faced BB2, LITTLE Head puts out a growl.
might be time to place it on reverb

I’m surprised it is still here. I think the closest thing Ashdown currently makes is the CTM30 at $1300. I have one of these LB30s and love it. Yes, it is a luxury item but it’s a great practice/recording amp. I considered selling mine at some point and decided it wasn’t worth selling. I don’t always play all tubes, but when I do, it’s an LB30.

mine was up for sale on T/B and after 2 weeks asked myself what am I doing, played it and said your gonna miss this head if do sell it ! well not for sale anymore ...........easier to carry around than my PF50

It definitely was a cause of much internal debate, but these days I'm only doing remote home recordings with friends, and tone/sound work is all done using SVT Suite and other post-capture plugins.

I own one of these and have been enjoying it for many years.
It's a great sounding amp and could not recommend it enough.

I need to have my current LB modded how my other was with the LEDs and the resistor for cabless recording
