This was my main bass for about a year, just used for weekly band practice and some recording. I bought it used from Guitar Center so I don't know the history.
I got a multi-scale J bass a couple months ago which has become my main, so I am moving on from the Sire despite it being so nice (both looks and sound). I need a new windshield so it's forced my hand.
I have slightly modified the bass with a 1uf tone cap and sandalwood knobs. I have the originals of both. No other changes and everything on the bass is fully functional.
Lots to like about the V10 at the price point. The roasted flame maple neck feels and looks amazing. The pickups and preamp are great, super flexible tone with the brightest brights and thickest lows. Can easily roll a little or a lot of the high end with the tone knob.
It was well taken care of but does have a few minor dings and swirling in the clear coat. I've tried to show the dings in the photos. There is a very tiny indentation on the side of fingerboard at the 4th fret but I can't get it to show in a photo.
Weight is a reasonable 9.2 pounds on my luggage scale.
Price is $950.
