Details

I’m selling my Danocaster precision bass that was built in June of this year. Dan Strain builds guitars for the stars and very rarely builds basses. Maybe four or five per year. They’re very seldom up for sale and I’m only selling because I’m in need of cash.
It’s currently strung with Labella Low Tension Flats which really make the bass sing. And best of all, it weighs in at 7.5 lbs! It’s an ash body with a rosewood board and the pickup is a Seymour Duncan Antiquity that perfectly matches that 59 pbass sound. The finish is an accurate reproduction of an original 59.
Feel free to ask any questions. Shipping is $100 CONUS

I don’t know that most people understand how phenomenal Danocasters are. The first person to recommend one to me was Mark Hill, an absolute monster of a session player in Nashville. He told me that if he were blindfolded there would be no way he could tell the difference between one of these and his original pre-cbs fenders. They are up there with AC and Olinto.

Quite possibly the best relic I've ever seen.

I completely agree. In the bass world, Danocaster’s are a well kept secret. Dan only make a handful of them a year and they’ve become quite rare. This one is certainly certified for the “blindfold” test. I only play precision basses and own several vintage Fenders and this one is special. I live in Nashville and this one garners quite a bit of attention from the bass community.
