This Fender Jazz Plus Bass from 1992 - 1993 was made in the USA and is in great condition. It comes with a softl case. It features two Lace Sensor pickups with both passive and active tone controls that are selected with a 4-way rotary switch. It has an alder body with a maple neck and fretboard. The Jazz Bass Plus was distinctively made with no pick guard. Fender was contracted to make Kubicki basses in the US during this era. This may be why the Kubicki knobs and preamp became part of the Fender Jazz bass plus. This has been called the poor-mans Factor bass, which is a far pricier instrument.
Its 9.1 lbs
The control knobs include stacked pots for volume, pickup panning, bass and treble and the 4 way switch to choose passive, active, active with mid boost or even standby. The styles and variations possible between passive and active are amazing. In passive mode it sounds like a standard jazz bass, and there are many tonal colors for heavier sounds in active mode.
The bass has been set up with new D'Addario 50 roundwound strings and a fresh battery for active mode. Note the plastic covering is still on the battery compartment. It plays like a dream with the sleek neck and great action. The bass has a beautiful glossy sunburst finish. Any scuffs or dings are extremely minimal if present at all. I didn't see any of note. The case exterior does have a few scuffs.
This bass is a joy to play but I have too many instruments
