I absolutely love this instrument, but I simply don't play it enough since just mastering normal 4 and 5 string basses (along with guitar, keyboard, and drums, not to mention painting, photography, and writing novels) is already hard enough, and I just know I'll never have the time to dedicate to mastering this instrument too. So I think it's better to let someone else who can put in the time and effort to have it.
It is extremely well-made and can do magnetic pickup fretless tones as well as piezo pickup upright bass, can be worn with a strap like a normal bass or put on a stand and played sitting down like a cello, and can also be bowed like a cello.
There are some very small nicks at the edges here and there, but they are very minor and most of them you can't even see them in the photos. Overall it looks great visually and the flamed Maple with amber finish is beautiful.
This bass weighs 7.2 lbs., so it's very light and comfortable to play.
Included is a Glasser bow and a Kolstein Ultra Formulation Suprese Bass Rosin (not photographed but inside the included gig bag), the Boomerang strap system (which is amazing. I wish all guitars/basses had this. In the photos it's attached to the bass, but you can take it off easily), the stand for playing sitting down, and a customized Neotech Neoprene Mega Strap that's tailored to this bass.
