I am selling an earlier model of the Prometheus. This was one of the pedals that I bought in my "let's buy every pedal" phase. For me it was a fun pedal to fool around with but I probably didn't have enough imagination to get the most out of all the tricks that that pedal could do.

The Subdecay Prometheus Resonant Filter Pedal is more than an envelope filter- it isso much more. The Prometheus is a voltage controlled 12dB filter which can be manipulated by playing dynamics or an internally generated signal. What's it do? The Prometheus is everything you've ever wanted in an envelope filter pedal. The LFO rate can be adjusted to run much faster than the the step rate. This can be used to create very interesting arpeggiation. * The Depth knob can push the filter cutoff frequency outside of the audio range. This can be useful to create a slow attack effect. * The step rate can be turned up high enough for smooth modulation. This can be used to create and autofilter effect, that can sound similar to a phaser or tremolo. * A fixed filter effect is possible by turning the depth knob down all the way, and using the Frequency knob to set the filter cutoff.

Very fat analog sounding E.F. Very responsive/sensitive and versatile. Can sweep up or down like a Mutron III. High-pass, Band-pass, and Low-pass filtering with adjustable intensity, and also has a "step filtering" function which auto arpeggiates your notes, pretty cool but I haven't found a use for that feature yet. The shape of the step filtering can be adjusted to three different wave forms. Very sturdy construction, seems bullet-proof with a 3PDT switches for true bypass switching and a cool blue LED indicator. These are hand made in the USA, Oregon to be a little more specific.It's reasonably sized, a very important feature since most players' pedal boards have a high premium for real estate.
