Gonna keep and play for the time being it may come up again thank you
Seen this over on various Facebook groups. It’s a real stunner of a Fireglo finish, looks great with the maple fretboard too.
Curious about the weight, the all-maple Laredos were typically the heavier of the 4004 models,
but were still usually lighter than a 4003.

Ive seen people post up, saying their 4004L is in the 8lb range, unusually light. Mine is more standard I don’t have an exact weight I would say 9lbs maybe a little more, I’ll try and confirm that. It feels similar to other basses I have.

I’ve owned 3 Laredos, the lightest was 8.2 pounds, heaviest 9.4. The other one was close to 9 pounds, but I had a much larger cavity drilled out for some mods, brought it down to 8 1/2.

I should put an eye on this one . I'm waiting for a refund on a damaged bass .

Let me know if things change . My 4004L is in Paul D Boyers book Rickenbacker Bass 50 years as rocks bottom . Blacked out with sparkle green ghost flames on the body and headstock. Under mods and customs if you have the book .

If you end up wanting to trade un-locally, I do have a 4003 in Midnight Blue from '05. It's truss rods are new replacements from ricky sounds but otherwise I believe everything to be entirely original
