I'm reluctantly putting this outstanding bass up for sale. Martin Keith's workmanship is just off the charts and this bass is really incredible. The playability and tone just knocked my socks off, so much so that I ordered a fretless of the same model. unfortunately, its not getting the play time it deserves, as I have other 6'ers that are my main instruments for my bands, and I have some other gear needs that I have to fund, so I'll be sad to see this baby go.
The short 32" scale with the High F tapewound stringing (EADGCF) is a phenomenal combo. the lows are round and thumpy but clear, and the highs sing almost like a jazz guitar. Chords sound ridiculously good. Action is super low, and the neck feels amazing. very fast and great proportions. I think this has Martin's trademark neck with a spruce/carbon fiber core. Whatever it is, it's just great.
PM me with any questions. Probably not looking for trades, but you're welcome to run em by me.
