Purchased new from Machida, Japan, and first time taking an Xotic out for a spin.
Quality is fantastic, it sounds like a total monster of a J, clear and growly and the relic’d body is super smooth and nice to the touch.
The preamp is very intuitive to work with - active/passive with the first knob and series/parallel with the second. Third knob is dedicated tone and 3band eq follows.
Tone shaping is plentiful and the mid and treble switches are great to have for even more variety.
