Up for grabs is this fantastic 74 P bass. It was purchased from Gruhn's Guitars in February of 2023 and the receipt is included here for provenance. Its nice to see some of this stuff verified by a place like that, for peace of mind for what it is and what it ain't. For the record, it plays and sounds fantastic. has that ash maple quickness but really round and full. Kind of the perfect down-the-middle voicing for a P bass for my tastes.
It has been stripped to the sanding sealer and the pickup was replaced at some point, by Fender, with an original NOS 1974 P pickup, so I would call that original. I made a little vid so you can hear it. Currently wearing broken-in rounds
$2500 shipped in a tweed case. its a good one, and as we all know, not all early 70's P's are.
