I have an amazing Bluesman Vintage 5 with Howard Ulyate pickups. In a nice medium relic. This bass is just fantastic sounding, the bridge pickup is one of the best sounding pups I’ve ever heard.
I called Bluesman and they mentioned that the bass is probably a prototype since they tweaked that design up and use their own T-bird style pickups now, plus there is no visible serial number on the back of the headstock. There is an older post that mentioned the bass being a 2020, but that is unlikely, according to Bluesman direct.
I did take the neck neck off to check more, and I’m not seeing any serial number there as well. All in all it’s a fantastic bass and just over shines Nash and other part builders, in regards to attention to details, in my opinion.
Specs:
34” Scale
8.7 lbs on my scale
Hipshot hardware
A style Hipshot Bridge
1 7/8 nut width
Guardian Gigbag, or I have a gator hardshell case I can throw it in as well.
Send me any question via a PM.
