Details

For sale is the very first (and probably last) Rickenbacker I have owned. I was looking for a more upscale 5 string than I have been playing (Fender, Carvin, and, dare I say it, Harley Benton) and was really hoping this one would be it.

My main bass for over 20 years was my 1977 Stingray. Loved the sound, but it became too heavy once I developed significant back problems. But I got used to that 'Ray sound and I suppose that's what's keeping me from enjoying this Ric as much as I should.

At any rate, there is NOTHING wrong with this bass. I did some very minor cosmetic modifications to make it look better, such as going to a black pickguard, black TRC, new strings (SIT), and Straploks.

I am including the original strap buttons, original white TRC, and the stuff that came with the bass, shown in the picture of the bass in its case.

The bass weighs about 9 pounds. Shipping to the CONUS is included in the price.

I am going to include shipping for the next couple of weeks before I list it on eBay and Reverb.

If you have any questions or want specific pictures, please ask.

The e string not sitting in the saddle properly hurts my brain and may explain why you aren’t enjoying playing it lol

The E wasn't the only one that was off the saddle. Thanks for catching it though. Old eyes just don't see as well as they used to.
