Regretfully, selling my Emanuel Wilfer double bass. The bass is a 2016, and I am the first owner. The bass is in excellent condition, and the sound both bowed and pizz is incredible, easily the best of any bass I have ever tried. A great all-around bass that would be just as home in a classical setting as a jazz setting. It has never cracked, or had any repair work done to it. It has never been played out.
I am 175 cm tall (5'10") and have no problem playing this bass. It is extremely comfortable and rewarding to play. It is very loud. The size of the bass is a bit smaller than a standard 7/8, and a bit larger than a standard 3/4. I think this is what contributes to its sonic depth and playability. D neck.
I added bridge adjusters to the bass, and a David Gage Realist pickup, which I will include. Also included is a Bobelock bass case in like new condition.
Note* Pics taken are before bridge adjusters and pickup installed. I can provide photos of that to interested buyers upon request.
Asking 9999 USD or 13, 500 CAD. Local pick-up only- in Ottawa, Ontario. With the current exchange rate, this could be a great buy for someone in the States if willing to make the drive.
Here is a link to a video demo of the same model bass. Mine sounds very identical to this one:
