Details

These are back up for sale.
I came across photos of the strings on my 1st edition Fender American Pro Jazz (scroll past the Roadworn pics).
I wanted to show the differences in windings on the American Pro Jazz vs the Roadworn Jazz.
Basically, if one has the Pro model you should get 3 good winds. If the bass has posts like the Roadworn, 2 winds, which worked well for me with no issues.
If the bass has the hour glass type posts like on Squier Classic Vibe basses, I honestly wouldn’t recommend these.
TI Jazz flats about a year or so old.
They were originally cut for a 1st edition Fender American Pro Jazz. I sold that bass and put the strings on my Fender Roadworn Jazz.
Top load. Great shape. I have a few basses so these weren’t used on a consistent basis. I put rounds on my Roadworn and thought I’d pass these on.

40.00 shipped CONUS
PP/FF or Zelle

GHS Precision Flats. (SOLD) Medium gauge, long scale. Used for about a year on my Fender P bass THROUGH BODY. I have a few basses so these have a lot of life in them.
The E string silk had a lighter shade purple than the rest of the strings. I eventually contacted GHS and they sent me another E to match the rest so you get (2) E strings.

You like just two winds, huh? I always do three, sometimes 4. Is there I strategy here? Better in some way?

I usually like 3-4 winds as well. When I first got the strings I installed them on my American Pro Jazz which has the tapered posts.
On that bass I got 3 good winds.
I sold that bass shortly after installing the TIs.
I kept the strings and put them on my road worn jazz which has the nice straight tuners.
I wasn’t sure how the 2 winds would do but haven’t had any issues. I made sure the strings went down to the deck as the pics show and have performed great the year or so of using.
That’s the reason I posted pics.
I put rounds on the Jazz and thought I’d try to sell these.
I have a couple more sets of
TIs. Great strings.

Makes sense. I’ll see if I have any tapered posts I can use these on. The other sets you have are also trimmed the same, or for 2 plus 2 headstocks?

I’m using the other TI sets. I plan on keeping though.
All 4 inline P basses but 3-4 winds.
One is a 2011 CV 60s with the crazy hour glass posts which are different than the American Pro tapered posts.
