Sadowsky MetroLine PJ5 - Dark Lake Placid Blue

Great and comfortable bass. I've just found that I'm more comfortable with more of a Jazz bass tone. This was also an excuse to try the German MetroLine series and I think that they're doing a great job! The "P" pickup was switched to a Nordstrand Vintage VP5. The original Sadowsky "P" will be included in the sale. Gig bag and case candy is all included. Bass is in excellent condition.

Yeah, this bass sounds great and looks amazing!! I’d definitely keep it if I could… but It’s hard to teach an old dog (me) new tricks… LOL!

I see. What did you think of it compared to other basses you played? I mean it sounds like you had trouble adapting to it?

The bass itself is fine. I’ve mainly played Sadowsky most of my career, so the bass is familiar and comfortable and the tone has that Sadowsky quality, as you’d expect from the preamp. It’s just something about P pickups in general. I’ve just never been able to adapt to that sound, no matter the brand. Blended J pickups are just what my ears like to hear… what makes me feel at home. If I keep this bass, I guarantee you It would probably just sit in the case because I’d always reach for my J bass.

I was just giving the PJ sound a try again.

I see. It's hard to beat a good jazz bass.
