I bought this bass several years ago because I dug its vaguely Rickenbacker-like vibe (without being an actual Ric) and it plays and sounds great. This bass probably has fewer than 10 hours on it, no dings/dents/scratches that would indicate that it's not brand spanking new. I've just recently acquired several high end basses from my father's estate (quite a few of which I absolutely need to keep) and therefore need to thin the herd, so this one goes to a new home.
This bass has a very comfortable neck - average sized, smooth and not "sticky" - and the action is very playable. It's got a pretty beefy sound, definitely leaning "Fender-y" due to its J-Bass pickup configuration, but the unique body design was the draw for me - it certainly has a less conventional "look" without being too over the top. It's a really great sounding and playing bass, you won't be unhappy!
