For sale Dr. Bass 112 Cabinets

It sure is good to see Dr.Bass cabs for sale here. I agree with shivers, Marc Serio knew what he was doing with cab design. There are still a lot of them out there. I've owned several over the years, and still have a slant BL1260 with a matching BL112 sub, both with Eminence KappaLITE 3012LFs. It's a terrific stack, and I won't be letting it go anytime soon.

Marc was ahead of Dave Green with his designs, and shivers' cabs are well worth anyone's consideration. Pay no attention to the massive "Marc Serio stiffed my ass" stickied thread, as far as regarding these cabs that shivers is selling.

By the way, shivers, do you still have the original metal badges for these? GLWTS.

I don’t think I have the DR.BASS badges anymore. I took them off at one point and seemed to have lost track of them. I still have some gear in storage boxes and there is a chance they could be there, but I’m not hopeful.

If you can get a weight on the cab, I'd appreciate it.
I'm assuming that both are the same cab? 12 & horn, same guts?

Yes. Cabs are identical. 12” drivers, horns, ports. You can adjust horn volume with the knob on the back of the cabs. 500w and 8ohms. Each cab weighs in just under 45 pounds, so around 90 for the pair.

This is a fun FS thread to follow! Good things will ensue. Good recollections for the rest of us, and good times for whoever gets these cabs.

That someone, possibly G Rich, or FenderCharles, will get some not-big-name but excellent cabs. I would go after these myself if I didn't have the DB BL cabs I already have.

Try these out, Charles. Would be good to get your opinion of these out here.

I have the 1260 and a 15. They are great sounding cabinets. Nice and light too. I got them during the pandemic. The guy said that his dad had a wall of these and had different configs for touring. Mine were his last two. The son didn't play much. Mine have orange grills which is fun. I've used mine with several heads as well and they all were reproduced faithfully. I've used a Traynor SB200H, a Mesa Boogie Walkabout, a Hartke H4000, and currently going retro with a SWR Basic 350. A head I spent many years with and played a ton of gigs with back in the day. GLWTS!

A fellow TN resident. I’ll let him identify himself if he chooses to do so.

I was able to deliver the cabs to him. Gave them a shakedown with his own gear and as they say, the rest is history. The cabs have gone to a good home!

It was me. Just had the pleasure of using one of them for gig for the first time tonight, in fact.
