I've had this for a while…made plans to pull the amp portion and build a housing to have a Baby Blue sort of small gig head, but I'm not playing out these days and it seems like a shame to take apart something that's working.

This is a 12" combo with a switchable tweeter, it accepts an extension speaker, has a balanced out, tuner/line out, fx loop and headphone outs. 3 band EQ plus the SWR aural enhancer control, fx blend knob with pull limiter defeat, gain & volume. If I remember right this first generation was listed at 80w or 100w with extension speaker—I was pleasantly surprised at the volume I was able to generate with this when I used my Bag End 1x12 underneath as an extension cab. Everything works as it should, rat fur intact, the rubber covering on the handle has frayed at the ends however the strap itself is still fine and bears weight. Very much pre-Fender, serial number in the two thousands.

$200 $182.50 plus actual shipping (PayPal). $175 if you choose PP F&F or Zelle. This will probably have to be local due to weight (about 50 lbs) but I'll provide you a shipping estimate if you like (Edit: here to Arkansas = $76). I owned an SM500 back in the day and this combo captures the essence of that SWR sound. Pics follow. The cat likes perching on it and is not included unless I can sneak her out when nobody else is looking. Thanks TB.

Hey brother Slaps, hope you've been doing well.
Just wondering what your trade interests are if any.... :)
I'm looking for a 12. I currently have a Kustom KBA210 200 watt combo I'm selling OR trading if I find what I feel is a fair trade...

I gigged with one of these for YEARS!
So did I... And still did up until a month ago when a Genzler Acoustic Array and an Acoustic Image Coda both found their way to my place. Still, hard to let the SWR go... That sense of immediacy and "punch" the amp has is pretty special. Great combo amp. Can't think of a reason to keep it, but can't bring myself to list it...

I thought the 'SMR400' effect on my Zoom B1 Four would be a close enough reproduction but they are definitely called models for a reason. It does sound more like an SWR than any of the other amp models but not all the way there. I'm incredibly thankful for advances in technology & engineering that allow us to haul around rigs that are 1/10 the size & weight of what we used to, but either my brain can't allow my ears to be happy with that or there's still something in those big ol' rigs that digitization hasn't quite fully captured.

I could maybe fashion a DIY self-scooping litter box from the cab part. Those go for way more than I'm asking for the whole combo...

I have this exact same amp in my lesson studio. I know the monetary value of these amps is not high, but it just sounds so good when I need it! Perfect for a college studio class, lessons, parked at a church (DI for the house, amp for monitoring on stage). I play through a Mesa D800+ rig, a Trickfish rig, and an AI Clarus Clarus/GR Bass upright rig. Tonally, this SWR circuit is a nice crayon to have in the box, and a VERY usable tool!

GLWTS! I am hard-pressed to understand why this is still here at this price!

If someone can get past the weight, these definitely will do a LOT of jobs so well, especially with an extension cab!

Thank You Leo

IMHO this version of this amp is one of the best ones SWR ever built. I reluctantly sold mine before we moved to FL. They are surprisingly loud for their size, especially with an external cab. I played through one live in a studio one time with a 2 guitars and drums (Americana) and it held its own. Great little amp.
