Up for my sale is my 2020 Serial Numbered F Bass BN5, which was delivered in 2021 to another member of this forum, who I purchased it from.
The bass is mint, I cannot find a nick or scratch on it.
The original owner purchased directly from Donovan at Fretspot. Most of the information below is from the original sales post and from the fretspot listing.
Beautiful Transparent Fade Green Gloss Finish with black grain enhancement over a Burled Maple top and matching headstock cap, figured Northern Swamp Ash body, with a three-piece quartersawn Maple neck and Macassar Ebony fretboard.
I have only gigged it a few times at church and has been kept in the case when not in use.
Just setup with new F Bass strings and perfect low end of the specs for relief, pickup height and string height. This bass sounds the best with F Bass strings, amongst the strings I have tried (Pure Blues, TI Jazz Rounds) and not surprisingly since I really prefer a stainless steel string. On my deluxe I prefer the pure blues.
Why am I selling? I picked up a BN5 Deluxe. My main gig machine is the F Bass AC5 so I prefer to have the 34.5" scale when not playing fretless.
2021 purchase price from Fretspot was $5,899, Current F-Bass price for similar bass is $7,000+;
