Here I have a 1960 Fender Precision Bass that has been refinished. My buyer on Reverb ghosted me, so I relisted it here on Talkbass at a further discounted rate for a quick sale. The pots, paint, and logo are NON ORIGINAL, however everything else, including the pickup, pickguard, tuners etc are. I had the bass refretted and plek’d at Mass St Music in Lawrence Ks, where they used the correct pre cbs fretwire.

Truss rod functions flawlessly, actually really flawlessly. It is super responsive, like fender custom shop responsive. Insane for a 60+ year old bass.
This bass's neck has a wonderfully silky-soft finish with a shape that is super thin, yet wide. It has a little birdseye/flame towards the heel too! This yields the upmost comfort in a p bass neck, with no fret-outs, buzzing etc. The bass is wonderfully balanced. The tone is great, lovely versatile pickup suited for any situation from modern pop to Motown, and is sure to make its next owner very happy.
History: I bought this bass from the second owner who purchased it in 1967, summer of love. The bass was already refin'd by the original owner, so the refinish is from the 60's. The bass pretty much stayed like this, before getting dimarzio pots/cap in the 80's. They are true to the original pre cbs values, and function well. I then had the bass refretted, where I told the good folks at Mass St Music in Lawrence, KS to NOT sand the fretboard and preserve all the Brazilian rosewood goodness, to which they obliged. I threw some old Labella flats on and she just sings!
