I’m selling my Adam Blackstone spec Performance YB-5 bass. The only real difference between a standard YB-5 is Yas (the builder at Perfomance Guitars) put in a modded Bartolini TCT preamp in the bass Adam Blackstone uses. Yas did the same Bartolini TCT mod on this bass. It turns the mid Knob into a sweetener instead of a standard boost/cut. Very subtle and musical. It’s a sensational instrument, and I’m the original owner, but I’m moving away from 5 string basses.
It’s the best live bass I’ve ever used and can cut through a mix like no other. Check out the Justin Timberlake SNL performance of Suit & Tie if you want to hear it in action.
