Here's a 2010 Rickenbacker 4001c64 in near-mint condition. This model was discontinued in 2010, and I doubt you will find a cleaner one anywhere!
Here's how Rick described the specs of the 4001c64:
"The Rickenbacker 4001C64 is a faithful re-creation of the other bass played by Paul McCartney during The Beatles era. With neck-through construction, it offers great sustain and tone.
The neck has a striped headstock, runs the entire length of the body, and is narrow, fast, and eminently playable. The reversed headstock features walnut wings on either side of a maple center. The neck pickup is the wonderful Ric scatter-wound toaster model, while the bridge has the original style horseshoe pickup."
The bass is in near-mint condition. There are no visible scratches, dings or imperfections that I can find. There is one mod on the bass: I added an OEM Rickebacker push/pull tone pot which switches a .0047 capacitor in and out of the circuit. All 4001's prior to the early 80's used that capacitor, and newer 4003's allow for the cap to be switched in and out of the circuit using the push/pull pot. The original pot is in the case.
