For sale Likely Fender American Standard Jazz Bass Body loaded (?) $385 shipped!

It has the Fender tone, but with low output which requires significantly more oomph from an amp than I thought it would. I haven't yet had my tech look at its pickups or pots, but I was told that its pots are CTS and that it has vintage cloth wiring, and I have no reason to question that.

Third, the through-body stringing option is consistent with the real deal, but I'm not certain if any alternatives exist out there with this same feature, so I wonder if that's a definitively identifying feature.

Yeah, it's a real-deal Fender American Standard Jazz. Stock Jazz pickups are typically lower gain than many other pickups, but should have about the same output as your DiMarzio Area J pickups. I have a 2016 Fender American Standard Jazz and the stock Fender Custom Shop 60's pickups had (I've since switched them out) pole pieces that stuck out a bit from the covers (as do all the other ones I've seen from that era).
