Roscoe Barts are Roscoe specification, proprietary Bartolini pickups. This soapbar set is P4 sized, with quad coils designed for 6-string use.
Roscoe-spec Barts are my favorite pickups. I believe they are part of Roscoe's "secret sauce." While there are several contributory aspects to the Roscoe sound, these pickups are typical in my favorite Roscoes.
Users describe the sound as "P bass on steroids" (neck), throaty low mids with a "bap" in the low mids and a "ping" in the highs (like a Ken Smith), and "growl and punch for days." These pickups are known for being equally adept in fretless (mwah conducive) and fretted basses.
