This is a new set of GHS Brite Flats groundwound strings for a mid-scale (Medium Scale) Bass. The ball end-to-taper shows 35-1/2". I have had this brand/type on 2 of my mid scale basses. On the Ibanez Mezzo, the taper happens just before the post. On my Squier Jaguar Affinity basses, the taper just begins to wrap onto the post..... just under 1/4 wrap, so not a real big deal (Edit: according to GHS, these are designed to wrap around the post without compromising the integrity of the string). It looks like a lot of folks with MM basses like these. I am planning to install a set on my Jaguar Affinity H that I've installed an Aguilar MM-style pickup in....looking forward to the outcome! I have 3 sets and really don't see using all of them in this lifetime, lol.
