Details

Selling my beloved Ernst Heinrich Roth C8. 3/4 sized, carved spruce top, laminate maple back and sides. This bass sounds amazing in both jazz and classical settings and plays easily. Strung with Spirocore 3885 weichs and comes with a Yamahiko pickup and Lemur case.

D neck
string length: 41 &1/8”
Upper bout: 19”
Center bout: 14”
Lower Bout: 25”
Body length: 43 &1/2”

Brief iphone video here.

This is the finest sounding bass I’ve owned, some upwards of twice the price but alas I have decided to give my left hand a break and moved to a 5/8 as I don’t play a ton of upright anymore. This would make an amazing working bass or be a great option over a similarly priced Shen etc. for a student.

These are great bases! I have a plywood model by that maker, from the late 50s, it blows everyone away. Sounds like a carved bass so I can only imagine what this must sound like! I would buy this right now if I wasn’t paying off for Sadowsky currently!!!!

They are great basses that really punch above their weight!

Do you still have this bass? If so, can you please tell me where in CO you are located?
