Details

This handmade bass was purchased direct from Elrick in May, 2020. I am the original owner. It is the Elrick NJS 4-string with a highly figured swamp ash body, maple neck/fingerboard, pearl block inlays, beautiful translucent white finish w/ pearl pickguard, Bartolini pickups and preamp, and one of the best necks you’ll ever play (seriously!). The action is extremely low and fast.

This particular finish is quite rare at Elrick and is rarely in new stock. The translucent white reveals a beautiful piece of lightweight ash, while the maple fingerboard is nicely accented with beautiful pearl block inlays.

This bass looks brand new and plays/sounds like the nicest active jazz you’ve ever put in your hands. It is very lightweight at 8lb 4.7oz and a real joy to play. It is, quite literally, the most playable bass that has ever come through here. I cannot emphasize enough how great this bass feels in-hand. Truly spectacular.

I've been back and forth about selling this bass. It is sooo perfect. Literally one of the best playing basses I've ever owned. The only reason I'm considering selling is because I only play 5 strings. I have zero use for a 4 on a gig. As much as I love this bass, I'd rather have the cash toward a new 5.

Note: This is NOT one of the new Cort-manufactured basses. This is an original New Jazz Standard from Elrick. These basses retail for $3150 brand new. This bass is priced to sell and is a real find.

This color combination is extremely hard to find. Avoid the build time & pick this up today.

Continental US only.

Hi, I can believe this bass is for sale. I think I missed this bass on reverb a few months back. Just to get the lay of the land, you are the original owner and this is the second time you are selling it, correct? this is a super killer bass I am sure. Main question: your listing says 8.29 lbs but you also say 8.47, why the discrepancy? Thanks for your reply!

Yes, I am the original owner. I had this for sale and took it down. I’ve changed my mind a couple of times regarding selling this bass because I primarily play 5-strings but this 4 is killer, for sure. And as stated in the previous comment, 8.29 = 8lb 4.7oz. Thanks!
