This is the cleanest example of a '66/67 Mustang I have played. It plays great, everything works well and it sounds exactly like it should. I bought this with big plans that never happened. Selling to fund custom bass order arriving later in the year. To be clear, it's officially a 67 due to pickup dates. Pot codes and neck are 66. I posted this prior to pulling the pickups.

I love the checking on this one and even the little ding on the back of the neck from the strap button in the original case. So many of these basses have that little mark. I can't feel it when playing.

The case appears to be from the 70s or a solid reproduction of a 70s case.

Check out the pics, ask me for other photos and I'll do what I can. I realize that something like this is tough to buy from a distance. Price includes shipping. I am open to offers for this guy!

I'll open it up to some trades; Noble Pre/DI (plus cash), Serek 5s (not short scale), Reverend 4s (plus cash).

Weight is 8 lbs even per bathroom scale.

I’m waiting for someone to tell me it’s a fake, but so far it has checked out!

couple of pickup photos. Looks like they have 67 written on them. Pretty amazing time capsule. I’m open to offers.

Yeah! Lovely '67! And unfaded red. Good Luck!
Thanks! It is a touch more faded than the photo shows, but only a tiny bit. Also the white lines around the pick guard are just dust and person.

I wiped as much as I could away with a cloth. Given the age of the lacquer, I didn’t want to use any chemicals. So, it’s not perfectly clean.

The extent of cleaning I'd do on that would be limited to compressed air.

How do those pickups sound? And any weight on this one?

The pickups sound exactly like a mustang should. They are strong. Like a p but with a bit brighter top end. Others may have an opinion here but I think the tone range is a little wider than your traditional p but just doesn’t have the same bottom as a precision at the low end of the sweep.

Weight of the bass is 8 lbs on a bathroom scale. Weight of bassist shall remain a secret.

Unless I missed it in the ad, I wanted to ask if you were open to trades before I sent you a PM.
Thanks

I would prefer cash to help pay for an inbound purchase, but you never know. Try me.

I've had some great trade offers, but nothing that has worked. Would love to get this one moved on and am open to reasonable cash offers.
