This bass exudes that 70's Fender vibe and tone and you can have the real deal for barely more than the cost of a reissue.
Everything is original with the exception of the neck pickup wires. This bass plays fantastic and is currently setup with medium low action. The neck feels amazing and is blocked and bound.
77' Jazz basses feature 70's bridge pickup spacing and this bass gets such a nice fat xtra growly tone. The Neck pup is nice and warm and fat and the blended tones are awesome. Killer finger style, slap, and pick tones.
The 77's have the 3 bolt neck plates with the 'micro tilt option and the famous 'bullet trussrod.'
The bass weighs 9.5 lbs on my bathroom scale with the pickup covers on, so about 9lbs without them.
The wood grain in the body is amazing and if there is a seam I can't find it. I have had this bass for about 10 years and it was my #1 for a while so there is some mojo as you can see in the pics.
