Pairing down and selling off my bass babies.
Just sold my mint Berg Ref 1 210 with cover that was paired with this mint Berg Ref 1 112, so here's the 112.
Ref 1 cabs are my preference after owning many different Berg cabs.
Ref 2 series weighs less, but loses some heft in the sound IMHO, and they're not that much lighter to me.
Here's the info:
Bergantino REF series 112 V1 bass cabinet, with Bergantino logo cover for sale.
Clean and in Excellent Condition…
This cabinet can be mounted in two ways because of feet on two sides of the cabinet which is great for stacking.
The Bergantino reference one series was always the best to my ears for both upright and electric, especially paired with a Walter Woods MI-200 sweeper series, (2 channel, pre-electroacoustic series with tons of warmth which I will also have for sale)
Have just seen action in my studio, so very little wear.
Please note I gigged with it once and the MD was a pain in the but and insisted no visible branding was on anything so I removed the Berg nameplate from the front but I have it and am including it in the sale.
Happy to reattach it with double sided tape added to the cushion strips that are still attached.
The cab can be placed in two positions with feet on two sides, so if you're going to use it the long way the label will be sideways as it was originally mounted.
These Ref 1 cabs are getting harder and harder to find, especially in this condition, since the reference 2 series came out, which is not as dynamic and thick in sound to my ears.
Incredibly there's one on reverb for over $1500 shipped from Japan atm.
I'm hoping for around $850 plus shipping given the condition.
Please see pics for condition of cab and cover and make note of my positive feedback!
