This 2000 Zon Sonus 5/2 Carbon Graphite Neck 5-String bass is Used and in Very Good Condition; the body has some finish hazing in the "slap zone", a few light finish nicks and a hair-thin finish crack by the neck joint (finish only, not into the wood). The back of the neck is perfect, the neck is straight, frets and fingerboard are in excellent condition (no grooves, flat spots or string wear). The bass has been professionally setup with with new DR Fat Beam stainless roundwound strings, low action and proper intonation. A non-original SKB molded hardshell case will be included and the bass will be securely packed and fully insured.
The Zon Sonus 5/2 is one of the few Zon models with a 35" scale (most Zon basses are 34" scale). The 5/2 also has custom humbucker pickups for a deeper, fatter tone. This 2000 model year bass does not have a truss rod and doesn't need one due to the stiffness of the graphite neck. The lack of truss rod also allowed Zon to make the neck thinner than the newer ones.
