It has 5 profiles pre-loaded that can control lots of different apps like ForScore. You can also control music players, which comes in handy if you learn songs by ear like I do.
With the company’s free software you can reprogram what each of the four pedals do and I did that previously for one of the profiles. Unfortunately, the software doesn't seem to work with my new-ish Mac and the Ventura version of MacOS, so if you have a newer Mac and want to change the presets, this may not work for you. YMMV
