Sure, they're loud, easy to play, and pretty bright. I think they're very good for mixing pizz and arco. They're not unlike Zyex but they seem overall louder and more flexible. I just have a very bright bass that needs dark, round sounding strings and so I'm sticking with Evahs for the time being. The E and G are almost new, the D and A have four-five months playing on them. I bought them used and only had them on my bass for a couple of days, so I'm flexible on the price. Experimenting with strings can get expensive quickly!

These are the older Heritage design, right?
I'm not sure, but I do have an older set that I'm sure is the older design, and those are different. The silks are slightly different colors and the packing is different. And comparing them, it looks like the gauges are a little different too. As I mentioned, I bought them used and only had them on my bass for a couple of days.

I wouldn't mind giving them another try if nobody is interested in them.

Must be the new design then.
I have had some of the older ones, and the packaging seemed very similar therefore my questioning.
GLWTS!

I checked with Kolstein, they are the new versions. Apparently the old version had purple silks on the peghead end, these are color coded by each string.
