Here's an amazing passive 5 string jazz that has a killer 70s slap (Marcus Miller) vibe, without the active pre. I love the gorgeous flame roasted maple neck and dark rosewood fingerboard on this bass. I had the master, Ted Vig, put a set of his 5 sting J pickups in and he changed the pots to USA high quality components- otherwise the bass is stock. Ted's pickups are a huge upgrade from the originals - they are super responsive and warm - he describes them as a beefed up version of a true vintage J pickup.
