The bow is an "S.Pierre" model by Jon Paul bows out of Utah; very well made (as are all their bows) @136 gr; 22 1/2" playable hair; 27 1/2" length (excluding screw/button)
The bow pulls a very warm sound(especially on guts!); spiccato is ok but not great, as sandalwood is not the densest of woods.
This would make an excellent student bow, or, even better a great bow for somebody who plays jazz or bluegrass (especially on guts!) with basic bowing needs. The volume is quite good.
