For sale is a really great sounding and playing King Mortone Upright Bass from 1953. It is fully labeled and fully stamped inside, in original condition with no neck repairs. It does have some cosmetic blemishes that are only finish. All the wood plys are still there. The bass is solid and ready to go, and it appears that the fingerboard has its full thickness and has never been plained. It currently has a Pirastro Chorda Gut G and D stings,Labella Gut A string and Labella Supernil E string. Features an adjustable bridge and what appears to be the original nut, I believe the bass would sound and play good also with modern steel strings with its set up. And it could possibly use some other tweaking of the set up and it is priced according to that, if someone wanted to change the set up for the personal preference.
