For your consideration: a gig ready Eastman VB305.
This is a repaired bass. The date on the label says 2001 and it was fixed January 2024. It's been play tested on gigs, backlined at a festival, and has even gone on a small tour. Totally solid.
A list of repairs on the bass:
•reenforced neck
•popped top to glue and cleat all top, back and rib cracks.
•reglued open seams and loose blocks
•minor regraduation to top and bassbar (mostly added finesse to some of the crude workmanship from the factory)
•added well seasoned fingerboard and nut
•full setup (including new soundpost, adjustable bridge, dressed fingerboard)
•added ebony tailpiece
•fit new endpin
•fixed January 2024 in Denver - very dry - consider it well acclimated.
