Mayones Cali 4 - 3A Flamed Maple - Aurora Borealis Burst finish - Mint Condition
Up for grabs is this fun little Mayones Cali 4 bass! This lightweight, 17.5" scale bass is a blast to play. Just because it's small, it's NOT a toy! Mayones puts the same build quality into the Cali 4 as they do with their standard size basses. The hardware, pickup, and preamp are the same as they use on their full-size basses. Instead of throwing away leftover wood after a full-size build, they use it create the Cali 4!
The body is swamp ash with a 3A flamed maple cap. The 5-ply neck is made from Maple and Wenge and is topped with a Pau Ferro fretboard. This neck-thru body has 24 frets and a radius of 16".
There is a single humbucking pickup and a rechargeable Mayones / Musashi Nitoryu 3-Band preamp with a M-Headphone system (Vol + Mid + Tre/Bass). A 1/8" jack let's you connect your favorite headphones for silent playing. The bass comes with the custom gig bag, charging cable, paperwork, and case candy.
If you aren't familiar with these, the nut is the equivalent of the 12th fret on a standard bass guitar. I've played this on stage multiple times and it has a massive tone that cuts through the mix. People will say "what the heck is THAT" and then once they hear it, they say "what the heck IS that?"
