Up for sale or trade is a vintage German made 1995 Warwick Thumb 4 BO
Features:
-Wenge Neck + Fingerboard
-Ovangkol Body (Possibly Walnut)
-Ebony Headstock Cap
-MEC Electronics
-Brass Just-a-Nut
-Bronze Frets
-Black Warwick Hardware
-Dunlop Flushmount Straplocks
-1.5 Inch Nut Width
-34” Scale
-7lb 13 oz on my postal scale
Condition wise it’s in great playing shape, but there are several deep dings dents and scratches on the body and also some dings and scratches on the back of the headstock. The tuner for the A string also got dinged up somewhere along the line, but it still functions as it should.
This one has a nice straight neck and the trussrod functions as it should. It is getting a bit tougher to turn clockwise to tighten. I don’t think it is maxed out, but it might be close. I currently have the bass setup a step down to d standard and it sounds incredible, and plays really well with low action and spot on intonation.
The only other thing I would mention is that the preamp is not functioning. Somewhere along the line the preamp was bi-passed and the bass only functions in passive mode. This didn’t bother me all that much, so I never put in a new preamp.
Asking $1375 Shipped Con US Only - Open to offers
The bass will shipped well packed and fully insured in a generic gig-bag for additional padding.
Open to trades for 4-5 string basses 34” scale or shorter +/- $$$ in either direction.
Please let me know if you have any questions
