Interesting and really sweet playing and sounding 1961 Precision. I bought it locally quite some time ago and sellers story about provenance seemed extremely legitimate to me. The man I bought it from bought it from original owner in 1980. It came to me with a 1971 Precision neck that needed frets so I sold the neck on. No idea what happened to ‘61 neck which was swapped prior to 1980. I replaced with a fresh American Original neck. Plays extremely well- nice low action. Light weight- old wood.
So the bass body is claimed to be a 1961, 2 owner before me, gigged a thousand times and refinished at least 3x player grade pre- CBS P. Neck plate and original pickguard and original case back all of my assertions. I’m definitely no expert and will answer all questions from actual experts. It plays and sounds amazing. Mojo for miles. Many dings and scrapes, 2 extra thumb rest holes. Looks killer.
I’m an honest seller trying to reduce my collection of basses. I cannot confirm ANYTHING about this bass except that, even without the history, it’s worth $2000 as a player.

Lets talk about it.
