Papa needs a brand new upright sale. Playing upright exclusively and need to sell off my electric bass collection to fund a new double bass. No trades, please!
This one hurts. My first custom bass with an incredible cocobolo top that I was fortunate to source.
The pictures speak for themselves on this incredible 36" scale 5 string MBJ bass. The long scale is surprising similar to 34" in playability and the B and E gain a mighty thunder and punch. I have only been playing upright bass since commissioned this bass from Joe so it probably has a total of 6hrs playing hours on it. The passive electronics give the bass a very pure tone with fat, punchy slap/fingerstyle tone between finger placement turning the blend slightly toward to neck side and tight, percussive bridge tone shifting fingers and blend the other way. Beautiful silver inlays on the headstock and back of body.
