I’m not sure I want to do this, but here we go… Looking to see what’s out there…

F Bass BN5 in Brownburst
-Ash body
-3 piece maple neck
-Maple fingerboard
-Hipshot B Style bridge
-Gotoh Tuners
-F Bass wood knobs
-F Bass pickups and preamp (single coil and humbucking modes)
-Vol, Vol, Tone (pull up tone for passive)
-Bass, Mid, Treble (boost only)
-34.5” scale
-9.5 lbs (what I was told when I bought it)
-F Bass gig bag

Bass plays like a dream and is in excellent condition! Newer F Bass strings and new setup. Can go from vintage to modern. One of the most versatile basses I’ve ever played.

Looking for a more modern (soap bar pickups) type of bass:
-Older MTD 535
-Roscoe 3005 Signature
-Sadowsky Modern 5 (custom shop, master built, NYC Satin)
-Skjold 5 string

Fine, maybe for an MTD b/c Mike's and Daniel's work is phenomenal.
OR maybe for an F bass Deluxe if you must have the buckers...

but don't do it! :D

The "black-to-brown-to-yellow burst" is AMAZING with the naked maple board. It's a perfect vintage meets modern marriage...kind of like the rest of the bass itself!

For anyone wondering what this bass sounds like, the best description I've read is "Jazz bass on satin." (I wanna say that was @KJung) Another good one is "Jazz bass with a little champagne in it." (@iamlowsound)

Lol, I'm not the first to say it. I always heard it said that if a Sadowsky is a jazz on steroids, then an F-Bass is a jass on champagne.
