For sale only, a 2012 Dingwall Super JP in Stormy Monday. I am not interested in any trades.
Condition is very good. I would say excellent, but when I received it, the clear coat had worn through in a couple of places on the neck and the maple had greyed. Also there were diamond shaped stickers on it at one point as you could see the outline of them as the neck aged. I refinished the fretboard as listed here: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/fretboard-finish-cleaning-resealing-help.1566176/. My refinish job is certainly not perfect, but a whole heck of a lot better than what it was so I just wanted to share that with potential buyers for full disclosure purposes. I refinished it using 12 coats of clear acrylic wipe on poly and then lightly sanded and buffed to restore the matte finish and then polished the frets to remove any clear on them.
Weight is 8.5 lbs on a digital fish scale. It is all stock/original aside from the silver jazz plate. It is being held on by the pot washers and can be removed if desired leaving no holes. I included one picture from the original sale showing it without the plate, I just happen to prefer the asthetics with it it on...
A few minor dings I tried to picture with the worst being down by the input jack, but it's all just in the clear coat.
Has a glockenklang 2 band pre which is able to be bypassed by pulling out the volume knob, which converts the active treble to a passive tone when by passed. The 2nd rotary is a 4 position with neck solo, neck/bridge series, neck/bridge parallel, and bridge solo. The pre is very transparent to my ears. With the pre set at it's dentents, it sounds the same as the preamp bypassed (to me anyways).
The neck pickup is a dual P (as you can see) and the bridge is a Super Fatty (SF). String spacing is 19mm.
It has some broken in Dingwall stainless steels, and will ship with a new set of the same, and the original GHS flats that were on it. They are very thumpy if that's your jam.
WIll ship in the gator case pictured which also has wheels on the bottom edge and a top handle so you can pull it like luggage. I don't have the Dingwall bag nor the allen key tools for this.
Thanks for looking!
